Fix a stripped screw hole

Are you having trouble with those screws tightening up in your cabinets and drawers because you’ve stripped the wood from constant tightening? Simply take the screw out and insert a wooden matchstick. Reinsert the screw back in the hole. The hole will be rethreaded with the matchstick in it and the screw will set securely. If you’ve got larger holes, say a doorframe, where you’re having trouble with stripped out screws in your hinges, a matchstick may be the answer or try the same thing with a golf tee.
